Our fabric is porous, meaning excess water will drain out and air will pass, keeping the soil cool and allowing root pruning to occur.
 
Starting fabric pots at this stage is a great first step. Roots will be "trained" to grow to the edge of the pot then stop, so new feeder roots can begin repeating the process.
